Manufacturer Questions...

Tried googleing this manufacturer, but really could not come up with much. Iboats also does not have it listed on their manufacturer site. The boat is called a "Bay Explorer" by Irvette. Its a 1996 center console boat. I really like the layout of the boat. As it is much wider then my current boat, and my 60HP Johnson could push this boat nicely.

My real questions are...does anyone know anything good or bad about these boats? Are they made of wood at all? Any help would be awesome.

To those interested...I am on the hunt for a boat that can be pushed by my freshly rebuilt 1991 Johnson 60HP. I do a lot of inshore/freshwater fishing...but also would like to head offshore on calm days. So I really need a "bay" style boat with a nice V up front. Also something I can mount a trolling motor to the bow with as well. I've been looking at 1990's Key West, Sea Pro, Proline etc...all in the 16'-17' range.

don't know about the brand, but having a force on it, leads me to think a Brunswick boat company. looks like a nice boat. don't think much of the motor.

Re: Manufacturer Questions...

Thanks for the reply Tash. I dont care much for the motor either, I would be putting my rebuilt 91' Johnson 60HP on it. Im just trying to find the right boat for the kind of fishing/boating that I do.

The more I look at this boat, the more I see it possibly being seaworthy on calm days. Gunnels seem pretty high. Plus its probably pretty light for getting around shallower waters/flats. I'll keep trying to find more information
