I'm starting the renovation of a 1993 Marada 1800 MVB. Wondering if anyone has any sales literature or owners manual?
Thanks in advance. Tom

Welcome aboard, Tom.

The chances of finding either are pretty slim, especially since Marada went out of business over 10 years ago.

Are you looking for anything in particular?

My immediate question is " what is the construction of the stringers"? Are they wood core?
I have most of the plywood up and some of the foam. So far the strings sound solid. I have not tested with a meter yet.
Other than that I'd just like to see whats available.
Thanks for the reply.

most boats have wood stringers and transom until you get to the early 00's

guarantee that over 98% of fiberglass boats from the 90's were wood core

many high-end low-volume builders still use wood and balsa in various sections as core because its cheap.

production boats today have engineered stringer tubs glued together with plexus. while there is not the rot of the old wood structures, the glue joints fail after a while requiring that either you replace the boat every 15 years or you restore it.

I didn’t know that....I just assumed that composite core meant the boat couldn’t rot, therefore would last much longer than 15 years. Really good information that I need to educate myself with more. Thank you.
