Re: March Madness

My brackets have so much red on them. I only had 6 teams make it to the sweet 16. I am a beaten man, beat like a baby harp seal. The only good thing is that a lot of people in the pool are in the same boat as me. There is one lady though who is in first place in just about every category, with a grand total of 7 losses. She knows nothing about basketball, when she was filling out her brackets she was asking what the team colors were of some of the teams. That was her deciding factor. She picked Nevada over Gonzaga...are you kidding me?

Nope, she had Kentucky for a final four pick. Only one guy has all four teams left intact. He has Kansas, Duke, Uconn and Pitt.<br /><br />Hope that was water soluable paint Carpy ;)

Re: March Madness

I found myself actually rooting for Louisville in the second half. They fell into the old Pitino hole though...launch the three, launch the three, launch the three.

Re: March Madness

Sorry fellas, didn't have access to my computer for a couple of days.<br /><br />I found out something, don't use gas to get red paint off of a bald head. <br /><br />Yeah, its taken me a few days to recover from that loss. :( The only thing that helped was watching Kentucky choke a second straight year to a C-USA team. :D <br /><br />Louisville played about as good as they could play in the first half, but they forgot to play d-fence in the second. guageguy, you see Louisville jacking up the three's 'cause they didn't have anything inside. The Cards big weakness all year was rebounding and inside scoring, and it caught up with 'em in the second half.<br /><br />Props goes to Xavier, they're a good team.<br /><br />I'll lick my wounds and wait til next season. Cards have the Third ranked recruiting class coming in. Dean and Garcia are back as juniors, Ellis Myles is back as a fifth year senior. And so on. Pitino didn't expect too much from this team even during the pre-season, but he does expect a lot out of next years team. Man, I hope he's right.<br /><br />Now, as you see, I stick with my team even when they lose. I guess you both jumped on the Duke bandwagon? ........yep, kinda figured you would. ;) <br /><br />"Go ......uh......Whoever wins it all" :p

Duke  Not a chance. OK State all the way. :p I was hoping Cinci was gonna get a shot at Duke, but they are gone too. I was impressed with that Garcia kid though, he can handle the rock pretty well.

Re: March Madness

UAB needs to get past Kansas. Not a big problem but Simien is one of my favorite power forwards in college ball. Should be a good game. Didn't UAB's coach used to be with the UCLA program?

Re: March Madness

Think they said he was a Razorback for quite a long time, he may have played at UCLA though.<br /><br />Kansas is the only team left in the St. Louis bracket

Re: March Madness

I got three of the final four left. For some stupid reason, I picked Arizona to be in the final four. Uconn, Pitt, and Georgia Tech are the other three I picked, with Uconn winning it all. <br /><br />But heck, what do I know, I said the Cards by six!!!!! <br /><br />(The Cards blew UAB off the court early in the season....................Had to stick that in there). :D <br /><br />BTW, Crow tastes very good if prepared properly.

Re: March Madness

I still have 3 left also Uconn, OK St., and Puke. Like to see Xavier knock Puke off  As long as OK St. beats Uconn in the final, I can still save some face around here. I usually take some, if not most of the pool...not even close this year  <br /><br />Visene gets the red out, he painted his eyeballs too
