marine carb.

i have a 72 omc small block chevy with a quadrajet carb .how do i tell if its a marine carb or not.

Like above person listed a pic or part number would be better, but typically marine carbs the vent tube (about 0.25" DIA copper) is bent to a"J" shape and points back down throat of carb rather the just pointing up at angle like in most automotive carbs. You most likely know since you asked how tell difference, but please don't use a non marine carb on boat, risking life if you do and not worth it.

Haveing upgraded a 30 year old correct craft ALL the mariine parts are much different and better than the orginals

Most carbs have ID tags, all have manufacturers numbers stamprd into the side of the carbs (7 or 8 digit) we can tell by them.

If no tag, it will at least have a nipple, from the carb bowl, on starboard side of carb, for line to mech fuel pump

Not on that old of carb they were vented internally the hose vent came in the last 15 year or so

no, the nipple for the clear plastic hose that shows ruptured diaphram in the double diaphram mechanical fuel pump

They do that with Holley carbs, not Rockies
