When I was a kid a friend's dad worked at an Imperial Oil refinery. Said he hadn't paid for a tank of gas in years...Course back then I could fill my 7.5 merc's 5 gal tank for five bucks...and that was at inflated marina prices...

Instead of a curfew, back then I had a gas ration and I had to make that tank last three whole days.
That was 32 years ago and I still have the boat, motor, and that old tank.
