Hi all, just a quick post as i'm replacing most of the deck on a 16ft fletcher arrowsport in the uk, i've searched loads and can't seem to find anyone stateing what thickness they are using? i can get hold of 12mm or 18mm sheets of marine ply, i dont want to use 18mm if i dont need to due to wieght as its only a small boat with a 75 OB on it. I intend to glass and resin both sides and edges to seal it in too. What should i go for?? should i bite the bullet and go 18mm? or is this standard and a stupid question?

12mm should work fine. I imagine you have at least a stringer or two to attach it to. A good quality exterior plywood sealed up with fiberglass will last just as long as marine plywood.

If you want to use the 18 mm it will be just a touch more solid but not needed.
