You know Bondo.....since when you been so polite. If it comes stock you better put it in. I put em in when they don't come with them in car engines. Not only for aeration but because obiviously this engine has problems getting oil back to the pan from the heads at certain times like hard turns and quick acceleration. This starves the bearings when the pump can't get any oil. Rhut Rho Shaggy!

Well, shut my mouth! you learn something new each day, and from what I read in the small block Chevy book, on a car it only works when going over 6,000rpm to help keep the oil in the pan, I guess it makes sense to have in a boat engine, due to the rough water conditions at times though.
