Mariner 115

I have a 96 Mariner 115 4 cyl outboard it has left me stranded twice now .once last year and once this past weekens...it works almost always. but on two coocasions when I shut it off to fish after 15-30 minutes of fishing it will not start back.....after continuous cranking changing plugs...praying and pleading it starts.....then it will not repaet the problem again for who knows how long.....very frustrating....I was wondering if anyone has had same experiance or any advise would be great......Max

Is it something as simple as the trim position of the motor? My '95 115 just doesn't want to start if it is left in a trimmed up position. Trim it down to about level and it cranks right up.

Does it have a safety lanyard? If so check to see if it is grounding the spark.
