I've got a Mariner 150 magnum2 and the serial # it has on it doesn't come up online or atleast I can't find it but the # is OB374480, if anybody has anything on it please let me know. thnx
thnx Faz 4 the help. I'm trying to see if I need a new starter cause it doesn't hit every time a crank it, it's kinda hit and miss and when it wants 2. But it does start fine when I get it going.
Fazt is assuming you mean the starter spins but doesn't engage.
If it engages, cranks, and doesn't fire, check starter voltage and current when cranking.
Failure mode is often carbon brush debris piling up in the end till it partially shorts the starter. It's a sleeper. I bought an expensive battery at a marina, probably giving them a better battery once because when this was the fault I was convinced it was the battery.
