I bought a Mariner Magnum 150, serial number A115096, minus the lower unit. It has the whole motor, minus the foot part.

What is the shaft length lower unit I would need? How do I know? I know it's either 20 inch or 25 inch, but how do I know?

Re: Mariner 150 Magnum

Your engine is a 1985 MARINER 2.0L MAGNUM 150MG (ELPTO) ENG serial number: 0A115096 Model number 7150765 ELPTO

And the (ELPTO) breaks down as

E = electric start
L = long (20") shaft
PT = power tilt
O = Oil injected
And if it had a (X) in it, It would be a (25") shaft. (EXLPTO)

Or to be certain you could measure it.

Re: Mariner 150 Magnum

Okay, thanks.

That means I'll be looking for a 20" lower unit.
