Mariner 15M. Need info.

I picked up a 15 hp Mariner. I got it from the original owner and it's been stored for 7 years in a shed. It's not seized and there are no parts missing. Here is the serial number. 684CL316665. I thinks it's a 1982 model. Any info on this outboard would be appreciated. Were they good motors?

The model number 7015223 has your serial number as a 1983 engine year.
