Hi, <br />I am rebuilding the water pump with a mercury pump kit,and i need help with a locating pin at front in between the 2 halves. So far all has gone to plan but this pin seems not too let the gaskets and the 2 halves mate...(as if the pin is to long).is this normal or has something gone wrong?<br />My manual does not show a view of this ..but says not to tighten the bolts too tight as you may crack the housing.<br /><br />thank you<br />Tony
