Mariner 2B, what year please.??

Ive recently bought a Mariner 2B num 6A1-013047 and was wondering if any member knows what year it is, also if any body has a fuel tap for this engine they would like to sell im interested.....cheers....Gaz...Manchester England

That should be a 2M not a 2B built in 1980 by the serial number

thank you sir for your reply, it definately says 2B on it, also theres no spark and the points look old so can you tell me how to get the magneto of ive taken the nut of but doesnt want to budge....cheers...Gaz

I haven't worked on one but if you look at the top of the crankshaft under CRANKSHAFT AND PISTON,

Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, etc. - CRANKSHAFT AND PISTON - 2 H.P.

you will see that the flywheel is aligned on the shaft taper with the key, item 12 and held on with the nut and washer you removed. So you are going to have to use a puller to remove the flywheel. When you get the puller installed and well tightened, give it a good rap with a hammer and it should pop loose.

Sorry I missed your post about the coil, did you manage to find one? Have no idea about Jetmarine.
