Mariner 60hp no spark

I have a rib with 2 mariner 60hp outboards.

One does not spark. I am not sure which year they are, they are look like this one though, slightly different. http://i1.ebayimg.com/02/i/001/56/35/8ec2_1.JPG?set_id=8800005007

Now, it does not spark on any cylinder (3) so I am guessing it is something further down the line from the coils. I tried swapping the CDI over to the working engine and it still worked.

I was going to try and swap the stator plate over but the working engine has been modified with newer parts in the past so I can't do that.

What else can I try?

that motor looks like a 93-96 not for sure do a a ignition test get a manual and follow the directions will tell you if is stator coil trigger

I saw on ebay just the other day there was the same manual I have(Selock) on cd rom just search there or get the hard copy there good luck
