Hi!
I bought a 90HP two stroke from 01 yesterday, Will pick it up within a few weeks.
The ad (Norwegian though, but the pictures are there: http://m.finn.no/boat/motor/ad.html?finnkode=84222963&ref=conversation&fks=84222963). It looks really clean and seems like it's in good condition. It has been on a service this year as well.
Is there something I should know about these engines? Seems like the normal compression is around 110-130 on these. I will check the gear oil and compression when I'm out there. It's a 5 hours drive, and I'm 17, so my father will drive when he gets back from work. Is there anything else I should check?
These engines seems really solid, and it will rock my 15.5ft boat good. (It got a 6.4 ft width).
Only downside I know of is that these is thirsty on top RPM. I will cruise in 20-24 knots, and max speed is probably around 35-38 with this setup. So I guessing that I got alot of horespower to my disposal. Giving me great speed at only 3000-3500 RPM.
