I have a 1986 Mariner 30hp manual start. Is it possible to add a charging circuit to this motor? If so, what would it take? I would like to run lighting, vhf, and fishfinder.

You don't need a charging circuit. Add a deep cycle battery (which you would need anyway), connect the accessories and go fishing. Charge the battery when you get back. Simple, cheap, and only a tad bit inconvenient.
