mariner controls on a johnson

hello people is it possible to use mariner controls on a johnson (start stop trim.tilt..)rewire controls or something? has it ever been done?quick silver controls?

The shift cables are different, as well as the wiring harness. You are better off swapping out the box. There are many of these old control boxes still up for sale..check out ebay. Just decide if you need the box with the trim switch in the handle or not.

You may use Morse/Teleflex C3 cables and end-piece conversions.
Not my favorite solution, but works.

ok thanks guys so i guess im looking for new control box with trim and tilt for a 1993 evinrude 150?

you can use a simple toggle switch for the trim n tilt.
