Hi all, I changed my lower unit oil on my 1987 200hp Mariner, old oil was black in color and thicker than the mercury lower unit oil I bought to replace it with. the old oil was in good shape and no discolor or parts or shaveings. But the new oil seems alot thinner but it says mercury lower unit oil on the tubes I bought. So any thought on this? What would you use in a 1987 200hp.
