I have to replace the impeller on my 1982 Mariner 25M! I have replaced one on a Merc39 3.9hp so I have experience but am just wondering if there is anything diffrent that I need to know! I see halfway up the shaft you can see the shift rod and it looks like it seperates in that spot by way of a lock nut/couplier! Is this how I unhook the shift linkage?
