Good afternoon, In anticipation for4 spring I have been thinking about what I need to have ready to clean my boat up! Which BTW is a 95 Fourwinns 200 Horizons.

I have only owned this boat for a year and it is my first boat, the PO kept it on a lift that didn't completly get the boat out of the water (fresh water btw) so the under side is nasty as all get out. After reading some reviews I purchased a gallon of Marykate On&Off.

My question can this be used on all surfaces of the boat such as a pin stripe and or top part that is colored? Over decals? Registration stickers? The entire boat needs cleaned if i used a small rag around places like the cup holders that are made into the boat what can I expect?

The boat is two toned white top green middle white bottom if I stop at the the color and only clean from there down I believe it will be very noticeable as the white above the color is dingy also.

I've used Mary Kate "Clean & Detail" on the whole exterior, and I thought it was Great! Don't know about "On & Off"?

Can't say that I've used the stuff. For my Four Winns, I use a light rubbing compound if I need to get rid of a pesky scum line. I follow that up with a wash with boat soap (includes wax in it but I don't trust just that...keep reading) and then a liberal coat of wax, usually Meguairs (sp?).

Depending on the amount of stuff you have to clean off, you might want to look into taking it into a car wash and power washing it.

BTW: I approve of the color scheme, same as mine ;)

Try it in a small and unseen area first to see what it does, or call the company and see what they recommend. I have never seen or herd of it.

I'm going to try it tonight after work on a small spot, not ready to do the whole thing as I plan on doing that when I remove it form the trailer.

I really like the trailer but it makes it impossible to get to some areas and it need some bunk work... so I gotta get the boat off, think ing about using a couple slings and lifting it off straight up

I`d be a little cautious on using any strong cleaner on any type of striping or decal. I`ve had some bad luck with strong cleaners lightning the colors of vinyl striping. It works great on plain white gel coat.

Just use it on the water line. If you read the directions on the bottle it tells you not to be used on aluminum and will etch your galvanized trailer. This stuff is strong. It will take your breath away. I take a little on a sponge and wipe the water line by hand. A gallon? that should last a couple of life times. My qt is going on three years.Don't use it anywhere but on the water line. It won't hurt your pinstripes if you don't leave it on there for any length of time. Pressure washing will take the stripes off though. Ask me how i know

Thats a lot of acid to be putting on anything you don't want to damage.
Theoretically, you could clean a lot of things with it, so clean you won't have it any longer.

FWIW, when you put the boat in the water, no one will see the bottom of the hull.

South Central iowa

The verry bottom is super bad and most of the hull has a bad yellow color

Like other have said, It is for the boat bottom only, to clean off the scum from sitting in the water. I use it at the end of each season and it works well. Make sure you where a respirator, gloves and goggles. Very nasty stuff!! Also rinse it really well and wash the hull with boat soap immediately after.
