Looking for some info. How far away can you place a remote tank from the outboard? 62 Evinrude 10hp. I have a 15 ft Jon boat it's on...I'm a big guy so I'm trying to distribute weight forward towards the bow as much as I can. I can't find any info out there. I know with larger engines with mechanical and electronic fuel pumps can have bow mounted fuel tanks but what about this little guy? Would love to put fuel tank in the front of the boat if possible. Opinions?

Anything short of down-town is fine. Seriously, it doesn't matter if the boat is less than let's say 50 ft.

Awesome. Didn't think it would be an issue...just wasn't sure that little fuel pump would draw the fuel over a 14 ft distance.

Horizontal distance doesn't have much effect. But vertical distance (lift) certainly does. 3 feet is pushing it. Fortunately, most outboard boats don't have a basement to put the tank in.

We had 20 ft of hose coiled up in one of our boats and both the 90hp the and 5 1/2 kicker had no trouble getting enough gas. The way the 90hp(1965) drank the fuel, we were more concerned the Gas Station would run out
