max hp for my boat?

I have an 86 fiberglass 15 ft. starline aggressor tri hull. the little coast guard sticker says reccommended HP is 70. is this one of those things that is serious or could I safely get away with putting a 90 or even a 115 HP motor on it?

Put a 70 on it, Ranger. The recommended hp is recommended Maximum Safe hp.<br /><br />Good luck.
