That is really what I call a small 12 footer.I bet it doesn't measure 12' from transom to bow.
Maybe even not 12' measured along the gunnel. The beam appears to be about 4ft.Certainly no more than a 7.5hp probably about 450lb.
capacity including the motor. it is designed to be easy to car top or throw in the back of a full sized pickup. It's not going to do well
with 2 adults and gear With a tiller extension and you in the middle seat it may plane and make 10 or 12 mph.
We had a 12 ft flat bottom steel boat with a 5 hp Gale with a tiller extension and my 180 lbs in the middle seat it would pop on plane
in about 2 boat lengths and run at 10 or 12 mph.If your bottom is really rounded it may struggle a little but should plane.
You need to eliminate as much weight as possible I would lose the seats.
Ive had the boat in the water already. Ive already got a 5 hp '53 sea king for it. Ive had 2 full grown men in the boat, with tye motor plus a 5 gallon gas canister, a deep cycle marine battery and a 6 speed trolling motor. Not to mention the cooler with ice and beer and a clamp on downrigger with an 8 lb weight. Im a big guy, weigh 270lb. . . I can stand in this thing no problem. The boat is stable, its a v hull. My gf can pull herself into it from 4 ft of water.
The transom is 50 something inches, I remember asking but Ill take a look when the snow melts. The boats actually a little longer then 12', I think the photo just tricks with peoples depth perception. Ive never felt unsafe in this boat, and like Ive said before Ive had 5he boat fully loaded up and it still sat pretty high in the water. Couldnt get it to plane with a 5 hp. I am concerned about how much more a 10 hp 2 stroke will weigh then my old 5 hp. Its an old motor though, they're heavier then most motors of the same hp built today...
