Max RPM for Mercruiser Alpha One 3.0L

Anyone know what is the Max RPM, and the operating range for a 1990 Mercruiser Alpha One 3.0L?<br /><br />Help appreciated - there is no redline on the tach, and I need to know in order to figure out what prop size/pitch to get.<br /><br />thx,<br />Andrew

Andrew, there is a red and silver decal on the valve cover of you engine that has this and other info on it..including the serial #

thanks guys, much appreciated.<br /><br />I'm about to buy a second hand Turbo 1 three blade 14 1/4 x 20 stainless prop to try.<br /><br />It looks pristine, and he's asking $200, figured it's worth a try. hopefully I'll see some improvement over the stock aluminum.<br /><br />/Andrew
