Hey Toocan, I thought that is what it looked like. I met a guy at the marina last year while fueling up that had the exact same boat with at 115 merc 6. I ask him about speed, and he told me it would run 50 on a flat lake....that one should zip! Nice looking boat by the way!

Mostly I hang out on the Schuylkill at Black Rock on route 113 at Phoenixville and Chesapeake bay. I try to get to Blue marsh about two times a season. If you are at Blue Marsh and see a 21 foot Manatee cuddy "AMANDA FORD" powered by a red and white Chrysler with a mermaid decal, that is me. cruise over and say hello.

Interesting fact: I know a fellow who was young when the dam was built in '78. His father was a contractor and demolished the farmhouses in the flood plain, salvaging the fieldstone they were built with. He remembers chipping mortar off the stones by hand, before tossing them into the truck.

Hey Toocan, can you put up a picture of how your controls mount? Looks like they are mounted to something below the gunnel. I'm trying to figure out where to mount mine / what to mount them too. Is it an aluminum plate or something? I also posted a video on my thread that you will love.....a really slick boat that is similar to yours.

ill get that picture next time i go to the storage. it's a board that the controls are mounted to and then that's mounted to the side gunnel. TOOCAN

here's one that i found that i already had. it doesn't show you too much but ill get some better!!

yeah and frank ill look you up in the future as soon as my girl agrees that some of our money is "extra". ????? god knows when that will be. she says she wants to get the bills caught up before " i dump more money into a boat" that's a pretty strong accusation!! what are you going to do??
p.s. i guess I'm going to do my best to catch the bills up

Thanks Toocan! It looks like there is a section of deck below the controls that is removable....is that a chase for the controls and wires? So the controls mount on a piece of wood that goes between the gunnel and the floor? Thank for the help!

there is nothing removable from the deck. the board is cut to fit behind the side gunnel and sits in one of the groves in the hull. the interior of my boat is all-but trashed at this point due to a "restore going broke" but anyway i hope this helps and if you got any more for me let me know. Missed this thread! I have a Fletcher 160 GTO. (16ft) It has the Merc 140 I6 engine, and yes I have had 50MPH on the GPS with a 19inch alu prop. I have changed it now for 21 but have not had the opportunity to test it properly since.

This is myself (driving) and my mate taking it out on the south cost. We touched 47mph or so across the sea. This was NOT flat-out. The engine had more I just didn't dare to go any faster.
