Goodday,
I have and issue with the port motor that it won't go past 3200 rpm at full throttle. The carb is fully opened. It happened a couple times that the rpm went up in the 4xxx range while on plane but quickly dropped back down to 3200.
We replaced the distributor cap, distributor sensor, fuel filter and water separator. Starboard motor runs great.
Next step would be to change the spark plugs...it's a bigger job and would like to hear some opinions first.
Motors are mercruiser 305 year 2000 alpha 1 gen II.
Any help, suggestions or constuctive ctriticism would be appreciated.
