Hello all, I took my maxum boat out this week-end for it's maiden voyage for the year from storage. I had the fuel tank about 3/4 full with stabil in the fuel over the winter. We added about 5.5 gal of new gas before launch. At launch, the motor started fine, ran fine at full throttle for about 5 minutes and then started "bogging" down and would not stay running unless operating about 10mph or below. Ran fine at idle and only quit after trying to run at full throttle or above 10mph. Seems like a fuel delivery problem, can this be as simple as just changing the fuel filter? Note this is a 2006 4.3L mercruiser. Which fuel filter do you recommend?

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,.....It could be, but when ya change the filter, examine the contents of the old one in a clear vessel, for anything but fresh clean gasoline,.....

I run Napa filters, made by Wix, myself,....

Hey Bondo, are you talking about your screw-on fuel/water separator filter? You're getting it from Napa?
I looked on their site and can't find one for my 2003 carb 190 HP 4.3 Mercruiser.
