The boat search continues. What is everybody's opinion of Maxum boats? I'm looking at a 1997 Maxum 2000 SRL with a 5.7 Mercruiser.

Have you tried looking farther down the page where boat manufacturer's are located. Almost to the bottom. Click on Maxum and read some of the posts.
Post your ? there. Every response you get there will come from a Maxum owner.

Re: Maxum 2000 SRL

I just sold a 1998 Maxum2400scr with a 5.7 Merc and Alpha 1 and it was a very good boat for me and my family.

It felt solid in the chop, no gelcoat blistering anywhere on the hull or deck. Everything worked even after 10 years ( I was the 2nd owner).

It all comes down to the "creature comforts". Maxums are built by Brunswick, as are Bayliner and SeaRay. All quality boats just different levels of trim and "extra's"

I would not hesitate to by a Maxum again.

I moved up to a Four Winns Vista 318 because we really liked the design and layout of it compared to others in the same category. It all comes down to personal taste.

Thanks guys. I see Maxums are Brunswick middle of the line brand between Bayliner and Sea Ray.
