My eldest sons old Mazda 323 suddenly heated to edge of red zone the other day. He found that almost half of the cooling water was missing and that the outher rubber gasket on radiator cap was blown out. When he came home, we tried to start motor with cap off. When motor was reved up, water level sunk. When it lost rpm again, fountain shot up the radiator fill hole !! Blown headgasket - isnt it. Does anyone know what turque head bolts should be at ? - when gasket is renewed ? How do we stop timing chain tensioner from jumping ahead when we remove chain wheel from camshaft ?
