Could've fooled me. I didn't think a rabbit had an agressive bone in it's body, defensive maybe, agressive nah.

Normal Momma cottontail behavior. Snakes eat their babies.

Should see the damage they can inflict on a basement room as a pet!

They're just like a wild cat once they get going!

Okay, I'll bite - What kind of snake was that monster?

From the video voice, snakes running through the yard appears to be a normal occurrence.

I thought of that too, JB, but I thought that Momma rabbit's defense of her young was limited to being a decoy to lead predators away. Didn't know they would go into attack mode.

One of my favorite tales in E. T. Seton's classic, "Wild Animals I Have Known" tells of a momma cottontail putting some whuppin on a blacksnake that was stalking her baby.

I think I read that first at about age 8. Never actually saw it happen, but have seen one attack a housecat.
