Yet Sandy Berger was simply misunderstood.
The damage his news guys have caused is not easilly reversable, but we have to at least point at it.

It seams the Assemblies of God (the only church I know the figures on), has been an extremely conservative thorn in the side of liberals and the DNC for that many years. Jerry Falwell was liberalism's "public enemy number one" for quite some time, as is their continual assault on family values, morality, God and representations of Chritianity in "public" places --- Those church bodies are overwhelmingly conservative, and under liberal assault because of it. You cannot claim their God, their saviour, or their congregation, and at the same time, do all you can to tear them appart, Bob.

You have been soundly corrected, sure...But seeing how you tried to claim my saviour (Jesus) as a liberal,(lol), it's far more important that you ask yourself why they are predominantly conservative. It hasn't always been that way. What happened, Bro?

Whether he was or was not, liberal or conservative doesn't even matter!!!
Jesus was born-into a world/society that was NOTHING like what threatens Christianity today, outside of it being a society of man (and a viscious one that fed Christians to lions at that), controled by satan. The assaults on them were from other places. There was no such thing as "legalised abortion". And even tho there was heavy taxation, there were no unions (just slavery)...... The people didn't change. The people reacted to the world around them as it presented itself, and nobody had a "vote" they had to sell.
So I would go to church tomorrow, (even a "liberal" one ), and take inventory of your own soul sooner than that. Step-away from the fermented koolaid. Don't be misled by man. Let God guide you.

I should also mention that the attempts at regulating church using the tax-free staus withdrawl threat has been an obismal failure... My pastor can still stand before our congregation and urge them to "go to the polls and vote. Vote for the canidates that promote Christian values" -- and there isn't a THING you can do about it!
