Just because these things are semi in demand. I took it off the boat something like a week after I brought her home, and actually "misplaced it" until I was rummaging through my neatly organized boat stuff! lol
I didnt even know if the bulb was good..soooooooo

Ah.... the mariners scepter. I would assume that you would have to go to the center of the three pyramids of Egypt and hang out for a while until the alignment of the planets of 2012 to show you the way to the scepters power source.HA HA!! In all seriousness Iv'e never seen a light such as that. It's very cool. Must be way before my time.Is that a globe or the actual bulb? Jimmy J

On mine, the chrome is pretty pitted but I'm still going to use it. It's such a classic. I want to find or fashion a gasket to try to keep moisture out from under the dome. I don't think a bulb would be too hard to find. I'm also going to use my pitted bow light too. Just for character.

It's a globe, with a bulb in it. The actual globe is purple, do to UV discolorization through the years...Its original to my 68 Holiday

Hey LL..
No problem with the bulb... bulbs are a breeze for me, I may even change it over to LED...This one is a bit pitted as well...But unless I search ebay, I can live with it..like you said, character!

My globe is also white, must have been stored in the shade or something. Agree wiht Kev, that's more than I paid for mine too.

I have the same light too and since there are experts here to ask a stupid question of (and I know its been asked) is there anything that can be done about the pits? Re-chrome or paint? What has everyone done, if anything? I really like the bow/stern light but they are eat up:mad:

Ho, a good chrome shop will restore the pits before plating and can make em look good as new, for a price.

Kev, what about permanently soldering in an LED bulb and being done with issue forever?

well...forever is a myth, especially with LEDs..But I know a few people in the "biz"..:D The only drawback to LED in this application is no airflow for cooling, and heat, we have a bit here, not like you tho! is the number one killer of LEDs

Re: Meet George Jetson!

I need one of these "Jetson" stern lights for a 1964 Starcraft Cobra I'm restoring. I have the bracket - but the pole and light are missing. Any thoughts on where to find one? I haven't had any luck on ebay so far.... thanks, Mike
