We all know that holidays bring out every assjack that has a boat but this one was extra frustrating.
I go down to the lake (Ridgeway Res) with the wife and kids and a friend on Mon. When we get there, lake and ramp are fairly dead. I pull over in the "prep" lane and get ready (bimini up, coolers on board, and of course: the plug) as I'm almost ready to go down the ramp this Explorer full of Nimrods goes right past prep area straight to the ramp and proceeds to back down poorly. The truck stops and the family of yahoos proceeds to get out.
Dad starts unloading the entire truck into the boat, the two smallest Nimrods start throwing a ball on the ramp, and Mom and daughter put chairs on the dock to watch the show.
I manage to launch, let my friend park the truck, and return to the dock to pick him up with no appreciable progress made to the loading of the Nimrod family. To make matters worse, I see Dad now removing a battery from the truck and proceeding to install it on his boat STILL ON THE RAMP AND TRAILER HALFWAY IN THE WATER!!!
I avoid these idjits all day long like the plague, trying not to let it get the better of me. We come back in to leave for the day and guess who is back at the dock???
You guessed it, the famous Nimrod family.
Now the Mom, Dad and oldest are sitting there eating while tied to the dock, as close as possible to the ramp (as in no one else can launch or retrieve around them even). As I get closer, I see that the youngest is now buck naked pissing off the side of the dock and the other is laying out at the end of the dock.
I held my tongue for the sake of my family's enjoyment and loaded up and left, told a Ranger on the way out but who knows if it did any good.
What the hell is the matter with people?????
