Hi guys this is my last hope. Motor is a 04 merc 4 stroke 60hp. After weeks of reading and finding every one with the same problem i cant find any one with an answer. Purchased boat at auctions. Took out fishing maybe 20min drive and stoped for a fish for about a hour. After fishing Turn key motor starts easy as. Then starts chugging untill after a few seconds and it dies. It does this over and over the more you start it the better it gets. If you leave it for 5 min longer it will let you stick it into forward gear and by bliping the throttle back and forward it clears up and will get you home. When the boats home on the hose it runs like its never had an issue. I have replaced the fuel filters water pump oils and taken the fuel pump out of the shell and cleaned all that in there inc the fuel reg and spark plugs. When the boat gets going again it runs fine.
