merc 110 9.8 where is water discharge

where is the water discharge [pee stream] or is it from the upper exhaust ports?

That depends on the year some with hoses discharge at the portside at the rear of the cowl, some early models discharge on the starboard side between the nuts that hold the powerhead to the mid section but 90% of the cooling water goes down insside of the exhaust tube.

Don,

I have the same motor, mine is from the late 70's. Unfortunatly I am having a hard time remembering exactly what year, but I want to say 1978.

But, there is a tell tale on mine under the powerhead, or cowl I think its called. I am new to the boating thing and not up to date on all the cool lingo!!

this is a 1967 motor,couldnt find a hose for tell tale discharge so i guessed it was through exhaust. i will see when i get finished with carb.just did not want to start with no cooling. thanks for the replies.

My 67 has a small hole next to the "flush" screw. It plugs pretty easily so I keep a wire handy to rod it out.

no flushing attachment,water hose with sprayer adapter. dont know what the attachment is

Mine came out between the nuts.....just look for a pee hole. Use compressed air to blow thru to clear any debris.
