Merc 115 lower unit damage

First boat, excuse me if my terminology is wrong, but the bottom fin on my lower unit is broken off (right in front of prop). Will this cause control issues and if so can I buy just the casing for the unit or do I have to buy a whole rebuild.<br />Thanks

Shouldn't cause any control problems. The main purpose of the fin is to protect the prop. If enough of the fin is left, A replacement is available to bolt onto the remaining piece. I'm not sure where to get the replacement but someone will come along and know.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
