I have a 2004 Merc 115 2+2 ELPTO.
I had trouble w/ it not generating RPMS when I put the throttle down. When I took the carb cover off I noted that the butterflies only open 1/2 way at full throttle and the cam that allows fuel to flow to the other two carbs would jam. I adjusted the valve since it slides up and down and I also adjsuted the linkage to the butterflies.
My problem is when I started the motor initially it woud idle at >2000 RPMs. I found that the stationary tip that attaches to the linkage had fallen down when I reattached the linkage and would not come up. I moved it up w/ my finger to free it up and idle went back to normal. This is bolted to the head. Is it supposed to be stationary in one position or should it move up and down?
