Merc 1150 115hp control box

I have a disasembled control box for a 1150 115hp merc mid 70s. I am told it is origional. This thing goes togeather like a puzzle and I have no idea. I spent 3 hours yesterday and got no where.I am sure it goes togeather in 5min if ya know what your doin. Can someone save me $100.00 at the marina. It is connected at the motor end just need help with the box. No tilt trim

Those stamped box are a PAIN, no one likes to work on them, if you can find someone who can fix one in 5 min. let me know his name please. In fact they are a bear to repair I have repaired to many of the damn things, you need a repair kit and a good manual--Bob

How would i find a repair kit and what is in it (i have all the parts) a manuel I spoke to a marina today and they said there was no manuel. They also said it would take an hour I thought it was a joke they look so simple.

There are two kits one has new springs, balls and plunger the other has a neutral button and ramp, but if yours is not broken you don't need that stuff. Mercury marine who does not pay any extra time on warrenty labor would pay 1 hr flat rate to repair one of those boxes. I know merc has a manual I have one, I don't know about aftermarket manuals
