Merc 140 parts

1985 century.Serial # for transom drive unit is A382065. Does anyone have a source for a parts kit or the parts list of parts needed to lube u-joints and replace bellows on boat. I would hate to take this apart and not have all the gaskets and parts needed. The boat is 40 miles from town on a hoist and all work is done on weekends. I would hate to leave the unit apart over water for lack of some proper part. Is ther a cross for the lube for the u-joints from merc?

I used to buy Mercruiser parts from a company in Miami, it was Lewis Co., but I cannot remember what the initials were, try Google, they may have a website.

Thanks for the reply- with this being such a common project I find it hard to believe that parts haven't been kitted or at least listed for these two tasks.

I could not find the lewis co. Does anyone have a needed parts list?

Try mercruiserparts.com. I deal with a very large wholesale supplier and have absolutely no problem getting parts for my 140...1976 model. There are still lots of them around and parts are fairly common and easy to find.

I would think that Sierra Marine would have a kit or at least a parts list. web page
