Not much work to pull the motor if the drive is off. After doing it it's not as big a job as I thought. It's just getting the means to lift it up and out.

Pulling a drive is not a headache... It's probably the easiest thing you can do. It's quicker than doing an oil change!

Have a look at this and see how easy it is...

Not enough room tried it.... If you pull the front mount and lift it I bit you might clear... If you havessomething strong enough just pull the motor. Have done it a few times using a wrecker takes about 30 min to disconnect and lift out.

Was yours in a starcraft too? I'll take some measurements but it looks like there should be enough room to drop the pan down! Of course that's just eye ballin it

Was in a regal seabring, the pickup was jamming the pan every angle. If you want to try for it worst case you waste some time but in the time you spend trying you could pull the motor and take a lot of guess work.
