i just acquired a merc 1400. serial # 4867562 power trim & tilt W/ matching #'s to the block. what year would this be? i think it's a '78 but not sure. the carbs have a small dia. hose from one side of the carb. around the float bowl i believe to just above the idle mix screw, what is the diff. between this type carb and a carb off an 1150 w/out this cross-over tube...i think thats what is referred to as?
