merc 15 water discharge

1993 merc 15 oc255242 just 'rebuilt' motor<br /><br />rings (honed cyls), all powerhead gaskets, coils, wires, carb soak and kit, repaint, etc. <br /><br />my question is, what did i screw up? should (unheated) water be flowing from the front of the lower leg? its coming out of various holes and dripping onto the top of the l/u. its also coming out of a hole by the l/u fluid 'vent' scew. telltale discharge is strong and hot. motor is not overheating (by touch). <br /><br />i cant remember where the water came out before (its been since last season)<br /><br />2) also, can you guys think of a reason why the motor would run on the bottom cylinder solo, but not the top? (when you remove the plug wire) It did this before the rebuild too. <br /><br /> don't know if it helps, but it was dark last night and there was ALOT of sparking going from the cap lead to the outside of the plug (top). <br /><br />any ideas??<br />thanks gentleman<br /><br />chris
