Merc 1500 Wiring Diagram?

Good Day All,

I have a Merc 1500, and MERCONTROL throttle box, with a 6 pole ignition starter.

I am having to replace the key ignition, but don't have a wiring diagram for what the color coded wires are for?

hope someone can help!

Yes.. the wiring diagram IS indeed in the service manual. Available at your local Merc dealer.

Old to new, but good luck. Resoldering a new switch in there, and not going nuts doing it, and STILL getting it back in the box, is a project ..well, I'd Ebay search for a new box with good insulation. Hellofalot easier.
