I have an old Merc 200 (20 horsepower). I believe it is a 70's model. I want to be able to tighten up the steering on it so that it won't pull so hard when I am riding at full throttle. On my 1962 Evinrude there is a screw tht I was able to tighten just under the ID plate under the transom clamp and that tightened up the steering on it. I'm wondering if there is a similar screw on this Merc that will do the same thing. Thanks.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Ah, I think I found the screw! It is actually on the side of the motor! I wasn't looking there becuase my evinrude has it right on the front, under the id plate. Well, thanks for all your help. ... Yep, there are lots of helpful people here... I think I'll stick with the evinrude/johnson blog from now on.
