1) Performance issue you are trying to correct.
- BETTER HOLE SHOT
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless and as a minimum.
Pirhana composite 19P 3 blade
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required).
14 x 19P
4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful)
WOT generally 4200-4500 but have hit 4800 trimmed to the nuts
5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP
Merc 2007 - 3.0L - alpha 1 - 135hp
6) Boat make model, year, length and weight
2007 bayliner 185 (18') approx 2200lbs

The boat came with a 3 blade 21P (was damaged) tried a coposite prop and any more than 4 people in the boat it would barley plane.

Swtiched to a 19P 3 blade pirhana composite - better hole shot - I can have more people in the boat and still plane, but if I want to wakeboard it really makes a difference how many people are in the boat. I know its a bit gutless but I can affort to run the little 3.0

Question is I'm thinkning of a 4 blade 18P for towing - would that make a big enough difference to make it worth while????? Alum or SS ???

Thanks in advance

Jay, buy a Solas Amita 4 blade prop in a 17" pith and you will be very happy with the hole shot and aeleration throught the whole RPM range. It will jerk a wakeboarder up in a heartbeat and when you load it with people you will find there is a major differene between what you have now and you should not lose any speed.
