Merc 3.7 - Timing Cover Torque ?

Having repaired the leaking Water Pump with new Speedy-Sleeves, I am reassembling my 3.7 Mercruiser's timing cover - can anyone please advise the correct tourque for: a) the timing Cover, and b) the front pully.<br /><br />Thank you in advavce...

Timing cover- pretty snug.<br /><br />Front pulley- good'n tight<br /><br />I'm sure there are torque specs for these but use your head. The timing cover bolts are probably 1/4-20 so they'll be rated for 12 lb/ft. What the hey go for 15.<br /><br />The pulley bolts, 3/8 bolts are rated for 45 lb/ft. <br /> <br />Discover torque ratings yourself here: Bolt torque It aint rocket science.

Thank you for the response – I wasn’t sure weather or not Bolt Torques were the same for both Steel and aluminum blocks.
