Merc 4.3 starting question

When cold, i pump the throttle twice and set it to about quarter throttle in neutral. Cranks and starts in a couple seconds.

However, when it is warmed up, it takes 3-4 seconds to start as well, but i dont pump the throttle.

In my old boat (mercruiser 120) after it was warmed up it would start instantly without pumping. Is it normal since the 4.3 is a bigger engine, to take a couple seconds to start when warmed up? I bought it from dealer and it was checked over, compression good etc. Just wondering if i should do a tune up.

Must just be the nature of the engine/ignition, my old mercruiser 120 fired up like it was fuel injected... 4.3 is bigger, and after all carbuerated. It starts after 2-3 seconds of cranking so its no big deal. I thought about pumping it a couple times even when warm, but dont want to flood it. Oh well.
