Merc 400 impeller key and fuel pump

Hi, my first post...

I bought my first boat this year, a 1960 Slickcraft 15' runabout with a 1960 Merc 400. I put new seals in the LU but need an impeller key. any idea what parts number that is? Also, does this motor have fuel filter/screen? Can't find it. Thinking about putting a water separator on it. I downloaded the service manual and that was a big help with the LU but can't seem to find those two answers in it.

Welcome aboard. Nice looking Slickcraft. No guesses on the trailer make.

Is this 2 or 4 cylinder 400? Going by the white motor, guessing a 4 cylinder. Got the serial number handy?

2 and 4 cylinder impeller key is Quicksilver 28-8M0032837.

Both have a screen inside the carb, but the carbs aren't quite the same. A water separator/fuel filter is a good idea.

It is a good idea to remove bottom half of the magneto to clean / set the breaker points.---gap is 0.008 /0.010"
