was out today on the boat, started fine at the launch, drove a couple miles wide open , then putted around for a little and boat stalled. Tried to re start and would run, go to put it in gear starts to take off and stalls. Finally get going in fwd go back towards boat launch to anchor out in shallow water, we stop in neutral tieing on anchor, and go to put it back in gear and stalls out. We wait a while starts up put it in gear stalls out. Start it back up and idol around 2500rpm "try to clear it out" and then **** and throttle slowly and boat takes off runs ok, get in the outlet and boat almost stalled in outlet, eased her into the boat launch and called it a day.... obviously some kind of fuel issues... any ideas??? comments and advice greatly apprecitated!

how can you tell if your elec. choke is working properly.... wondered if that was causing my problems or a fuel issue??

To check your choke, just remove the flame arrestor. With a cold engine the choke should be closed. Start the engine and watch the choke. Should open in a minute or two.

Your problem may not be a fuel problem, when was the last time it had a tuneup. They don't run very well with weak spark or bad plugs either.

Did you troubleshoot your fuel system as in my previous post?

no i haven't been able to test the fuel system yet , and i'm not sure when the last time was for a tune up, i was planning on going through the entire boat in the spring... this is my 1st boat and i just bought at the end of june and i had to put on an alt. conversion kit... so i was just hoping to go out a couple more times and then get it ready for winter and then do a tune up and fix everything and get all the gauges working again

You need to do all the tuneups, and other maintenance items and repairs that haven't been done so you CAN go out and use the boat. As you can see, if it won't run, it's hard to use.
