Merc 50 Power Trim Switch ?

Hello again. I'm in the final stages of installing the Power Trim that came a la carte with my 82 Merc 50.

Was wondering if the circled switch on the enclosed picture was just for the Trim Gauge or is the Trim Limit Switch.

If it's for the gauge (which I don't have or need) I'll ignore it.

If it's for the Trim Limit I might try and ignore it if possible.
I looked on the parts sites but it's not listed.

That is a trim limit switch. You can 'bypass' it by putting a short jumper cable in the trim pump electrical harness where the limit switch would connect.
